In 2013, Rand Secure Archive announced the addition of an enterprise backup and recovery solution and officially rebranded to Rand Secure Data in order to better reflect the comprehensive data governance solutions it offered to its clients. In 2014, Rand Secure Data was expanding its customer base dramatically and new investors were needed to provide additional resources and strategic guidance to continue to drive the success of the business. In September of that year, it was announced that Alta Equity Partners would acquire Rand Secure Data from Rand Worldwide. Shortly thereafter, Rand Secure Data was rebranded – and Zovy was born! Today, Zovy is the leading provider of accessible data governance solutions.
